Stuart began his professional career with Penwith Housing
Association learning CAD and gaining a HNC and HND in 
Construction. Afterleaving Cornwall to work in Bristol on bigger 
schemes and gain more experience, Stuart returned taking up a 
trainee buildingcontrol Surveyors positions within a Local Authority.

Through this post, he successfully read for a BSC(Hons) in
Building, and qualified as a full member of the Association of 
Building Engineers. From a practical point he gained experience
on commercial buildings and multi plot housing sites.

Since qualifying, Stuart has lectured on the revisions to the 
Building Regulations and in July 06 became an approved NHER 
Plan Assessor permitting him to carry out SAP Energy ratings and 
the TER, DER and BER compliance checks as required by the
Building Regulations. In a private capacity, Stuart has acted as a
consultant to various architectural practicesin satisfying the
Building Regulation implications to designs andalso in the 
preparation of plans and specifications.

Stuart became the South West Regional Manager of BBS Building
Control Ltd (Coporate Approved Inspector) in September 06. In
May 2007Stuart became a member of the FAERO Competent
Persons Scheme for SAP and Carbon Dioxide Emission Rate
calculations and in July 2007 was elected as a Fellow of the
Association of Building Engineers.
